Fall Fun!

Our first fall in the suburbs was been lots of fun! We went to the apple orchard for the first time and also the pumpkin patch! The kids had fun at both. Sienna and Greyson are both into farm animals, although Greyson is a bit more skeptical. Sienna likes to mostly call the animals by the sounds they make, moo, neigh, but her personal favorite is "piggy" which I think her Grandma Lolo may have passed down to her.

Fittingly so, for Halloween the kids dressed up as farm animals (a moo and and mommy and daddy were Old MacDonald and his wife with baby MacDonald on board! We went over to Uncle Robbie and Aunt Sarah's house, which is now like 2 minutes away, and got to eat pizza with cousin Lucy and cousin Maisy before visiting three houses, and then they were ready to pack it in! haha. It was a good time and Sienna enjoyed eating candy with daddy and helping pass some candy out! Greyson isn't really a candy fan so he just chilled and played, happy to strip his costume off :)

Not to forget baby to be this week baby turned 20 weeks and we had our big ultrasound and all looked great! This is the appointment in which we could have found out baby's gender, but we are going to be surprised!

Life's Little Miracles

So moving is a busy, stressful, sleep stealing, all out crazy time! In all the craziness I started to feel sick about a week after moving in, and naturally thought I had the flu, but when a week passed and I still didn't feel better I decided to pick up a pregnancy test at the store. I still remember going to the store on a Wednesday night, a few days after the 4th of July, after the kids were asleep. I ran into the bathroom and took the test as Rhett was out walking Bauer. When he returned, I was sitting on the couch but decided to go in and just see for myself it was negative, because seriously, how could that even be? Well, negative it was not! I ran out and flashed it at Rhett (ok, gross, I know, I had just peed on it.) Rhett was like, seriously, that can't be! Well be, it was! We are shocked, thrilled, and excited to announce that in the end of February the Stenzel Crew is growing to 5. Who thought that after six years of fertility treatments we'd get our own little "surprise"! So far, the pregnancy has been going great, except for some pretty awful morning sickness, so it was so nice to have Jan in town for the summer, as she helped out a great deal with the twins! A few first trimester bump pics, first, ultrasound, and announcement pics! We announced on my birthday!

MOVING

Chicago is one of the best cities on Earth, so much do to, you can walk everywhere, great parks, great friends, but living in a small two bedroom condo with a dog and two kids who become more active everyday pose its issues. As much as it broke our heart to leave the city, we decided it was time. So back in June we rented out our condo and decided to rent a house out in Shorewood, which is a cute, quiet suburb south of the city. We aren't quite ready to decide where we want to end up long term so we are testing the waters first. "Lolo" came to help us move and was a serious lifesaver. I have no idea what we would have done without her! I hope to be the mom to these kiddos that she is to me!

So far the kiddos have loved the extra space, having their own rooms (which was desperately needed), a playroom, a yard, and a swing set (that daddy put together all by himself, so proud!) For the first time in over two years Rhett and I are getting a full night's sleep, as Greyson has finally stopped waking up at night, so it has been amazing!
